Devicenet Drop or Trunk bus cable is designed for use on Allen Bradley DeviceNet™ Systems. These cables have excellent electrical screening and incorporate two differently sized pairs: pair A for data transmission and pair B (larger) for power.
Two versions of this cable are available. The larger Trunk (or thick) version is used for backbone wiring and the smaller Drop (or thin) version is used to connect sensors, actuators and switching to the Trunk cable. LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) and LSF (low smoke and fume) versions for increased fire safety are generally available on request.
Note: low smoke zero halogen / halogen free (LSZH, LSOH, LSHF, OHLS) should not be confused with LSF (low smoke and fume), an in-depth explanation is shown on our LSZH Control Flex front page.
