Profibus PA single pair cable is designed for use in industries such as chemical, food, beverage, oil, gas and refining, pulp and paper, metals, mining and minerals. They can be supplied with steel wire armour (SWA) for protection against mechanical damage.
Armoured (SWA) versions are suitable for direct burial and LSZH provides increased safety in the case of fire.
The Profibus (process field bus) protocol has been widely adopted for production and process automation applications providing transmission rates up to 12Mbits/sec.
Note: low smoke zero halogen / halogen free (LSZH, LSOH, LSHF, OHLS) should not be confused with LSF (low smoke and fume), an in-depth explanation is shown on our LSZH Control Flex front page.
