XLPE/SWA/LSZH BS6724 1kV power cable

XLPE/SWA/LSZH BS6724 1kV multicore armoured power cable is designed for fixed power use. The steel wire armour provides protection against mechanical damage. Suitable for use in indoor, outdoor, ducted or direct burial applications. 

These XLPE/SWA/LSZH BS6724 cables ensures increased safety in the case of fire due to the virtual elimination of toxic fumes if burnt. Pronounced advantages when compared to PVC cabling: low fire load, low smoke emission, reduced fire propagation.

Note: low smoke zero halogen / halogen free (LSZH, LSOH, LSHF, OHLS) should not be confused with LSF (low smoke and fume), an in-depth explanation is shown on our Customer Support page.

cross linked polyethylene (XLPE) core insulation
extruded low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) bedding
galvanised steel wire armour
black LSZH outer sheath

bend radius: 1.5mm2 to 16mm2 = 6 x overall diameter
  25.0mm2 and above = 8 x overall diameter
voltage rating: 600/1000V operating
current rating: as per SWA 90°C chart, see Current Ratings page
temperature range: -15°C to +90°C fixed, minimum bending 0°C
construction: generally to BS6724 (where applicable)
smoke emission: according to EN 50268-2, IEC 61034
flame retardant: according to EN 50265-2-1, EN 50266 C&A, IEC 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-3-24 (Cat C)
acid gas emission: according to EN 50267, IEC 60754-1
core identification: 2-4 cores = coloured to VDE0293 without earth, see Colour Codes page
  5 core = either coloured to VDE0293 with earth (included in core count) 
                  or numbered white cores without earth (green/yellow)
  7+ cores = numbered white cores without earth
