Flatform PVC CY copper braid screened multicore flexible flat cable is designed for use in conveyor and hoisting equipment or as feed cable for mobile machine components. Can also be used in power chains, cable trolley or festoon systems and lift applications etc.
The copper wire braid (CWB) screening (individually or in bundles dependent on the number of conductors) provides excellent protection against electrical interference.
These Flatform PVC CY cables are suitable for indoor use in dry, wet or moist environments, including installations where exposed to low temperatures.
Flat cables generally need less space than round cables so can be utilised for space-saving installations. Although they can only flex on one plane they can bend tightly in that direction so the bending radius of a flat cable is usually smaller than that of an equivalent circular cable.
Polyvinylchloride (PVC) Properties: These compounds are self-extinguishing with fair abrasive resistance, good resistance to water, aqueous salt solutions, acids and alkalis.
